Urmila has decided to associate herself with the Millionaire Club Card.
Urmila Matondkar might be one of the hottest stars around, but she's never forgotten her middle class roots. No wonder then that the Marathi mulgi decided to associate herself with the Millionaire Club Card, which she launched along with Country Club India Ltd Chairman and Managing Director, Y Rajeev Reddy, at a glittering function on Tuesday in Mumbai. Said Urmila about her association with CCIL, "They're rock-solid people with an established name and it's wonderful to work with them." Y Rajeev Reddy said, "The Millionaire Club Card is our response to a growing necessity of a new India. The product reinforces our core values of accessibility and affordability in lifestyle products." Although she admitted that she hasn't been to the club in Mumbai, Urmila recalled with pleasure the many times she has been to the one in Hyderabad. "That was a long time ago when more shootings used to take place in Hyderabad. Everybody who has been to the club there remembers it," she said. Urmila thinks the concept of the Millionaire Club Card is excellent because, for a family, there are never enough places that offer the right ambience and opportunities to relax and enjoy themselves. The svelte actress, whose last film Benaras did not find much success at the box office, is now eagerly awaiting the release of Vikram Bhatt's Speed at the end of the month. "It's an action packed thriller with a young and frothy cast and crew," she says. Urmila, whose last few releases have all been serious, intense roles, now wants to do something more light. "I don't think it was a conscious decision to do serious roles. I can't do something only to prove a point. It's a natural process in the growth of an actor. But a light role would be welcome as I love comedy the best," she says with a smile.
